ER

Two letters no parent ever wants to experience!
Well, I'm still learning, never say never.

Our little Emmett had to go to the emergency room Friday night and get 4 stitches in his little pinkie finger after it was smashed in the bedroom door by his dear sis, on accident.

This is new for me having never had stitches myself, nor any of my kids thus far.

This little man is the toughest dude ever! He cried hard when it first happened but thank goodness Jeff was home to wrap it up tight and help me not freak out! Since then Emmett has been totally fine. Still into everything and still our happy baby BOY!

Poor BOY the nurses and the doc. thought he was a girl. They kept commenting on what a beautiful little girl and how sweet she was.
It made us laugh. He is beautiful, this is true, but he is more boy than any little boy I know. Always with a ball of some-sort.

So, for now I call him "nubs."

Oh no! We had a finger in the door situation a little while ago. It didn't require stitches, but it was still so scary!

oh my goodness poor little guy! poor adelle too I am sure she felt awful. yeah we have had our share of the er and I am sure glad we haven't been in a while. You do have to say you have had good luck, three kids, two boys and never to the er, it was bound to happen sometime. That sucks that they thought he was a girl people do that with kate as a boy, what the heck? I thin its all of emmetts perfect hair that confuses people

What a trooper. It will heal fast. Sad you had to go through that but at least it wasn't a major injury or sickness. I think he looks like a boy.

Poor Emmett (and poor you)! Not a fun experience, I know. Maybe we jinxed you. :) Glad to hear he's pretty much back to normal.

ER visits are no fun. I unfortunately know from experience. I'm glad he is okay though! What a tough boy. Tyler just barely got his FIRST stitches lol. PS I'm glad you enjoy my playlist, feel free to listen all you want :)

I hate seeing anyone in pain. And I can't imagine how badly your heart was aching over your little boy. I'm sorry you had such an emotional day. Your boy really does sound like a scrapper!
